PUERICULTURA MADRID 2014 ends with 7,587 visitors and gets consolidated as a referent in specialised commerce
The second edition of the Professional Salon for Childhood Products, organised by IFEMA and held during October, 2 to 5 in Feria de Madrid, gathered more than 440 brands and their collections for season 2014-2015. The new Business&Fun area, where all the activities of the Salon took place, had a wonderful acceptance by professional visitors. PUERICULTURA MADRID, Professional Salon for Childhood Products, organised by IFEMA, ended up its second edition totalling 7,587 visitors, 2% more than in 2013 and also with a generally positive commercial evaluation by companies participating in it, confirming the Salon as referent for specialised commerce and the great global meeting for this sector in Spain. Besides, PUERICULTURA MADRID second edition increased the interest among department stores and hypermarket purchase managers, according to the high profile of the visitor of the salon. Professionals assisting the salon totalled 77%, 7% of them were commercial agents. Regarding the total of purchasers, 58% corresponded to multi-brand independent shops; 14% to department stores; 14% to online shops; 8.8% to chain shops and franchises; 6% to group buying. […] Regarding the evolution of assistance during the days PUERICULTURA MADRID took place, the tendency was similar to the previous edition. Thursday and Friday most clients showed a corporative and big-company profile, whereas Saturday and Sunday the attendance was mainly related to independent and specialised multi-brand commercials. International presence Regarding international visitors, 6% out of the total were foreigners, mainly from 22 countries: Germany, Andorra, Belgium, Canada, China, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Holland, Italy, Malta, Norway, Netherlands, Panama, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia and Turkey. Portuguese professional attendance was outstanding, totalling 6% out of the international visits. Additionally, as in its first edition, PUERICULTURA MADRID organised an international programme for purchasers. This programme gathered main foreign professionals, with a high decision making profile and prescription for buying, from 14 countries – Belgium, China, Cyprus, France, Holland, Italy, Malta, Norway, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Sweden and Tunisia- suggested by the exhibitors and Asepri (Spanish Association for Childhood Products). They took part in Welcome Breakfast for International Hosted Buyers. More than 440 companies In its second edition, PUERICULTURA MADRID gathered 148 direct exhibitor companies and 444 companies and brands, which exhibited their last news for season 2015. […] In conclusion, PUERICULTURA MADRID offered the visitor a complete panoramic view of the most relevant innovations in products for babies and children, in all ranges and categories. So, PUERICULTURA MADRID 2014 closes this edition with a very satisfactory commercial evaluation, confirming the salon again as the great global event for the sector in the Iberian Peninsula. Next edition of PUERICULTURA MADRID will be held from 1 to 4, October, 2015.
