Il Gufo and The Woolmark Company together again for the launch of the second capsule collection FW1415 of garments in 100% Merino wool

The collaboration between Il Gufo, brand of excellence in kidswear, and The Woolmark Company, the world leader in the wool industry, continues for the second season, with the launch of the new capsule collection FW1415 composed of products made from 100% Merino wool.

Pullovers, cardigans and turtlenecks feature the comfort and softness of extra fine pure merino wool, guaranteed by Woolmark and characterised by distinctive colours garment-dyed by Il Gufo, giving unique nuances.

The novelty of the season is the use of a particular Merino wool yarn that, while maintaining the softness of the fibre, makes it even more resistant to machine washing. This result is proof of the excellence of the partnership with The Woolmark Company which began in 2012, and represents another step forward in the continuous search for quality and exclusivity in raw materials of both companies.

The common goal is once again raising awareness on the use of wool as a fibre of choice in clothing, especially in the fashion industry for children and babies, as well as the education of consumers with respect to its properties and easy care.

The collaboration will in fact include an information campaign created by The Woolmark Company and called TESTED BY NATURE TESTED BY US, which aims to underline not only the infinite potential of the fibre, but above all the easy care characteristics of wool, to help mothers feel confident with the ease of washing of the garments. The campaign tells how wool naturally withstands the toughest tests, wind, storms, heat, cold, water. Therefore there is no need to be afraid that washing will ruin it after it has been made into a piece of clothing, provided that certain precautions are taken.
