With its new store’s opening in Vigo, the Spanish company, specialized in hosiery, apparel and knitwear, will count with four shops under its name in the Spanish market.
And Cóndor doesn’t plan to stop there! Before the end of the year, the brand plans to open another point of sale in Andalusia. In addition to its own points of sale, Condor has a network of 2,800 multi-brand outlets in Spain, included El Corte Inglés, its first customer for this distribution system.
Parallel to its development in Spain, Condor plans to open two shops in Lima (Peru) and Bogota (Colombia) using the franchise system. “These two points of sale are the key to our development in the South America” says Roser Ramos, CEO of Aretex. She adds, “We will start with franchises, but if the business goes well, it could end up in master franchise’s organization.”
The company also plans by 2013 to open more Cóndor stores the Spanish market and in countries like France or Italy.
Currently, the exportations represent 19% of the turnover of Cóndor, and the company expects to increase this percentage in coming years thanks to an expansion plan that includes its introduction to Nordic countries and a greater commitment of the company to the United States and Russia.
